Class Description

_High School students, have you ever thought about what it is like to work with 4-year-old children? Do you think you might like a career working with or teaching children? Do you just want to know more about the ages, stages and development of children? If you have answered yes to any of these questions, Mat-Su Central has an excellent opportunity for you to dip your toes into the exciting world of children laughing, learning, singing, moving and playing as they prepare for kindergarten. _

_As an intern/student worker you will help prepare for Kinder Kickstart sessions, interact with children, help tidy up throughout the day after activities and at the end of the day. You will learn how to engage children in a positive way to help them grow socially, emotionally and academically. You will also be entertained by little ones with diverse, wonderful personalities! In addition to working two days per week with Kinder Kickstart you will be enrolled in a child development course for credit. _

.5 credit Child Study - online BYU Child Development course .5 credit Child Care Careers - internship hours
