Event Description

Join our field trip to the Campbell Creek Science Center as we explore the fascinating world of our Alaskan feathered friends!  Students will discover how birds survive and thrive in Alaska’s unique environment, learning all about their incredible adaptations — from specialized feathers and beaks to migration patterns and winter survival strategies.

Get ready for hands-on learning, fresh air, and a closer look at the wild wonders soaring right above us. You won’t want to miss this feather-filled day of discovery!

  • Itinerary:  March 25
  • 8:45 AM- Check in at Mat-Su Central School 
  • 9:00 AM- Depart Mat-Su Central School 
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM - Campbell Creek Science Center
  • 12:00 - 12:30 PM - Sack lunch
  • 12:30 - 1:00 PM - Campbell Creek Science Center
  • 1:00 PM - DEPART Campbell Creek Science Center
  • 2:00 PM - ETA AT Mat - Su Central School 

Don't want to ride the school bus? Families have the option of meeting us there. 

Cost: $36 Includes all materials. The cost of this activity will be directly deducted from your student allotment.

Special Instructions: Please dress for the weather as most of this activity will be outside. Bring a sack lunch and water bottle.
