Frequently Asked Questions

In an effort to continue to support  students and families who are new to Mat-Su Central in the 2022-23 school year, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you make the most informed decision about your child's education. What’s an ILP?

  • ILP stands for Individualized Learning Plan which is the cornerstone of personalized learning.
  • The ILP is created during a collaborative conference with parents, students, and advisory teacher.
  • Each student at Mat-Su Central has an ILP that is unique to them, focusing on their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style.

New Enrollees: 2023-24 School Year
  • **If you are hoping to finish a 2022-23 school year at MSC, please contact the front office to discuss options.

    1. Fill out the Enrollment Form

    2. Review FAQs and complete online MSC 101 (keep in mind that some of this information does not apply to late enrollees).

    3. Register with the MSBSD on July 1.

Re-Enrolling MSC Students

For username and password assistance, please email your child’s name and DOB to jennifer.bogle@matsuk12.us.

Transcripts

Please fill out the Transcript Request Form to request your transcript.

Alternatively, you may request your transcript via email by sending the following information to jennifer.bogle@matsuk12.us:

  • Name at time of enrollment
  • Date of Birth
  • Last year of attendance/graduation
  • Official or Unofficial
  • Email address or mailing address to be sent to.
Student Cumulative Files
  • Please send a records request to jennifer.bogle@matsuk12.us or fax to (907) 352-7482.
  • Normal processing time is 3 to 5 business days.
Diplomas

If you have lost your diploma, we cannot provide you with another one.

If you have not yet picked up your diploma, please email your name (at time of enrollment), DOB, and graduation date to jennifer.bogle@matsuk12.us.

If you need to prove to someone that you have graduated, please request an official transcript.

Withdrawing
  • Withdrawal Steps:

    1) Submit ALL reimbursement requests through the Parent Portal PRIOR to withdrawing to avoid closing of allotment account.

    2) Complete a Withdrawal Request Form.

    3) Return all non-consumable curriculum materials, computers, musical instruments, equipment to the front office; please label with student name. If interested in purchasing eligible equipment and/or materials, review with the Curriculum Specialist.
  • Prior to withdrawing from Mat-Su Central School, please be mindful of the following:

    1) Students withdrawing prior to November 1st are responsible for costs expended for their Individualized Learning Plan.

    2) No reimbursement requests will be processed AFTER the date of withdrawal. Any allotment expenditures that have been made for purchases that occur after a student's withdraw date must be paid back to Mat-Su Central before the student withdraws.

    3) In some cases, materials or equipment that are assigned to a withdrawing or graduating student may be transferred for use by a sibling continuing enrollment at Mat-Su Central.  Arrangements for these transfers must be made through the advisory teacher and MSC accounting office.
