New - Learning Available Paths for Enrollees

Mat-Su Central Families,

We are responding to our continued enrollment growth, backlog of appointments and delayed start to many of our student’s coursework.

Starting on the first of September we will be providing a Learning Path aligned to K-10 grade levels. To meet the developmental learning needs of all of our students, Learning Paths for K-6 students will be textbook centered with our most popular homeschool curriculum.  Learning Paths for 7-10 grade students will be digital online courses utilizing Edgenuity. Course costs will be deducted from the student allotment.  The remaining balance is available for technology and elective needs.  Individualized Learning Plan conferences will still be scheduled for 11th and 12th grade students.

Mat-Su Central staff will reach out to our new families who are already registered and enrolled for a September appointment with this offer.  You have the option of continuing with your scheduled September appointment for your child’s Personalized Learning Plan or begin immediately with the Learning Path option. Students enrolling on and after September 1 will only have the Learning Path as their course of study.  This does not apply to students receiving special education services and co enrolled students.  If your student is enrolling at Mat-Su Central School and you are interested in the Learning Path option please contact your advisory teacher.

Additionally, starting on September 1st, enrollees will not be required to complete the ‘ILP Scheduler’ through  Registration through ParentVUE will be the only step necessary.

If you have any question please contact our front office.
