In an effort to continue to support  students and families who are new to Mat-Su Central, we have compiled a list of frequently asked questions to help you make the most informed decision about your child's education. What’s an ILP?

  • ILP stands for Individualized Learning Plan which is the cornerstone of personalized learning.
  • The ILP is created during a collaborative conference with parents, students, and advisory teacher.
  • Each student at Mat-Su Central has an ILP that is unique to them, focusing on their strengths, weaknesses, and learning style.

New Enrollees 2023-24:

STEP 1: View FAQ's on our website, watch the MSC 101, and complete the Enrollment Form.

STEP 2: Complete registration via ParentVUE (

‍         - New to district: Visit ParentVUE and click on ‘Create a New Account’ and follow the prompts.

‍         - MSBSD families (current or in the past):  Visit the ParentVUE page and sign in to your account to begin a new registration. Login Troubles? Contact the Help Desk at 907-761-4357.

STEP 3: Withdraw from current school after you complete ParentVUE registration. Please return all computers, textbooks, etc.  

STEP 4: Wait for Mat-Su Central to contact you to schedule your meeting with an advisor.

If you have lost your diploma, we cannot provide you with another one.

If you need to prove to someone that you have graduated, please request an official transcript.

  • Withdrawal Steps:

    1) Submit ALL reimbursement requests through the Parent Portal PRIOR to withdrawing to avoid closing of allotment account.

    2) Complete a Withdrawal Request Form.

    3) Return all non-consumable curriculum materials, computers, musical instruments, equipment to the front office; please label with student name. If interested in purchasing eligible equipment and/or materials, review with the Curriculum Specialist.
  • Prior to withdrawing from Mat-Su Central School, please be mindful of the following:

    1) Students withdrawing prior to November 1st are responsible for costs expended for their Individualized Learning Plan.

    2) No reimbursement requests will be processed AFTER the date of withdrawal. To guarantee reimbursement, all receipts must be submitted 30 days prior to withdrawal. Any allotment expenditures that have been made for purchases that occur after a student's withdraw date must be paid back to Mat-Su Central before the student withdraws.

    3) In some cases, materials or equipment that are assigned to a withdrawing or graduating student may be transferred for use by a sibling continuing enrollment at Mat-Su Central.  Arrangements for these transfers must be made through the advisory teacher and MCS accounting office.
