Dig In for Treasure!
The Mobile Mineshaft of Alaska is rolling up to Mat-Su Central School for an epic gem-mining adventure! From Kindergarten treasure hunters to high school rock hounds, everyone’s invited to join this hands-on experience packed with discovery, sparkle, and a dash of science.
Step inside the mobile mining trailer and sluice your way to a dazzling mix of amethyst, topaz, tourmaline, aquamarine, and emeralds—plus, you’ll even crack open your own geode to reveal its glittering secrets! Each student will take home their gems and a handy rock identifier to help name and categorize their treasures.
