Class Description
Get ready for real life after high school. In this hands-on course, students will build essential skills for confident, independent living. Topics may include:
- Financial: budgeting, saving and investing, credit, and taxes
- Household: laundry, organization, basic repairs, and home safety
- Food: grocery shopping, meal planning, and cooking basics
- Auto: car maintenance, registration, and insurance
- Medical: health insurance, appointments, and self-care basics

Students will practice these skills through real-world activities—budget simulations, mock interviews, basic home and car maintenance, and more.
Some sessions may take place off-campus (for example, at Diversified Tire, the Job Center, or a bank). Families will be responsible for transportation to those locations.
