Adventure Awaits at the Museum! Get ready for an unforgettable afternoon of discovery, imagination, and fun!
November 7th Itinerary:
9:00 AM Check in at Mat- Su Central School
9:15 AM Depart for Anchorage on the school bus
10:15-10:45 Orientation, Auditorium
10:45-11:15 Mars: The Ultimate Voyage - The Ultimate Voyage in the planetarium. You’ll join astronauts on a daring 2-year mission to the Red Planet, facing challenges and celebrating triumphs as you explore the future of space travel.
11:15-11:40 Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center - Step into the Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center and see amazing artifacts, tools, and traditions from Alaska’s Indigenous cultures.
11:40-12:00 Alaska Exhibition - Wander through the Alaska Exhibition where you’ll journey into the past and uncover stories of the land and people who shaped Alaska’s history.
12:00-12:30 Discovery Center - End the day in the Discovery Center, where you’ll play, experiment, and explore with interactive exhibits made just for curious minds like yours!
12:30 Depart the museum on the school bus
1:30 PM - ETA at Mat-Su Central School
Location: Anchorage Museum
Transportation: School bus or families can meet us there. Parents are welcome to ride the school bus too!
Cost: $30 Per student. The cost of this field trip will be automatically deducted from the student allotment. Parents are welcome and encouraged to come! Parent cost is $10. The cost of one parent can be deducted from the student allotment.
