Class Description

This course is designed for students seeking additional time and academic support. Instruction is personalized to meet each student at their individual level. Teachers and students will work together to identify and strengthen areas of need, based on current grades and specific academic challenges. Study skills will be monitored, and communication between home and school will be encouraged. Students will also have time to complete current assignments and receive targeted tutoring. Emphasis will be placed on student responsibility, self-advocacy, and accountability.

Students may drop in as needed, but please note that MCS is not a drop-off program. Most students attend Academic Strategies for a morning or afternoon block between on-site classes. Students may also earn elective credit by establishing a consistent schedule and attending regularly. Talk with your advisor to find a plan that works best for your family.
