Families of Mat-Su Central,

Welcome to a new school year! As always, check out our full calendar here, and keep an eye on the website for the most up to date information.

New Enrollees in 2025-26:

Do you know a family interested in attending MCS this year? The new enrollment form is live on the front page of our website. As of today, we have over 700 new enrollees, so our staff is working hard to get everyone scheduled for ILP meetings, but it is taking some time. Thank you for your patience, and remember that homeschoolers are free to begin homeschooling at any time!

On-Site Hybrid Learning Academy Questions

There have been many ongoing questions about the changes at Mat-Su Central as it relates to the Hybrid Learning Academy. This updated list of FAQs seeks to answer some of the common concerns. Here are some important clarifications in the meantime:

  • For a list of classes and their descriptions, visit our Offerings page.
  • Request courses here.
    • In an effort to include as many new families as possible, course requests will remain open until August 28 (with limited exceptions).
    • Families are welcome to complete course requests prior to their ILP appointments!
  • Art and Music classes began on August 18. Feel free to reach out directly to Tina Fisher (art) and Ruth Schwartz (music) with specific questions.
  • Any courses listed as TBD are based on student interest and teaching capacity. Information on class times and instructors will be provided ASAP.
  • Remember, no enrollment in specific courses is guaranteed. Confirmations for all S1 hybrid classes will be sent to families by September 2. S2 offerings will open up in November.

From the Accounting Department

  • If your student will be participating in a school sport this year, you may use a portion of their allotment to pay the associated athletic fees. To take advantage of this opportunity, please contact your student’s advisor and let them know which sport your student will be competing in. Your advisor will help coordinate the payment process so that it comes directly from your allotment.
  • Every family (new and returning) needs a “vendor access account” to submit a reimbursement request. Steps for setting up your account are available here
  • Did you know there is a FAQ list for allotment? You can find lots of important information there.
