Class Description

Semester 1 Drawing Essentials provides students with a wide variety of foundational drawing techniques that help students create realistically and expressively through practice, experimentation, and revision.

Some favorites in this class are dynamic lights and shadows, collaborative works, and portrait hacks. Projects may also include:

Collage

Right/Left brain studies

Upside-down drawing

Negative space

Drawing from life

Ink wash & hatching

*Optional Independent Studio Thursdays 1-3: Students may use this time to work on projects.
