Student Government Leadership

 Grades 9–12 | Leadership Credit

Class Meeting Dates: Tuesdays, 10:30am-12pm starting 9/16/25. 

Staff: Mrs.Langhoff & Mrs.Sande

This course is designed to develop leadership skills and empower students to make a positive impact in their school community. Open to all high school students, this class focuses on building key leadership attributes, effective event planning, and fostering school connectedness. 

Students will plan and host major school events, including the Fall Social and Prom, and lead initiatives that connect their peers to the greater school community. Students will also take the lead in organizing and participating in student-led volunteer efforts.

Participants will have the opportunity to represent their school at the Fall and Spring Alaska Association of Student Governments (AASG) Conferences, gaining valuable experience and networking with student leaders from across the state.
