Class Description

This engaging, self-paced golf course is designed especially for 4th grade – 12th grade students who want to learn and improve their skills in a fun, flexible environment. Blending technology with hands-on instruction, students will begin by working with a teacher to build foundational golf skills such as grip, stance, and swing basics.

After the introductory sessions, students will take the lead in their own learning journey using an interactive golf simulator. The simulator provides step-by-step guidance, helping students practice and improve through weekly goals, challenges, and real-time feedback. As they progress, learners will develop confidence, coordination, and a deeper understanding of the game.

Students are also responsible for managing their own practice time by signing up for simulator sessions using Google Calendar. This builds important life skills like time management, responsibility, and independence.

Whether brand new to golf or looking to sharpen their game, students will enjoy a supportive, tech-enhanced experience that makes learning golf exciting and accessible.

This is an independent study course on a golf simulator in the wellness lab. Sign ups will be through our google classroom on the google calendar when the simulator is here and set up in the wellness lab (early September). Students will come to the wellness lab during their time slot that they signed up for, and will use the simulator. No golf instruction is given except through the simulator. Clubs are provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Hours to sign up for the simulator will be:

Monday 8:00-3:30

Tuesday 8:00-11:00, 2:00-3:30

Wednesday 8:00-3:30
