Class Description

Love skiing? Ready to take it to the next level? The Junior Ski Instructor Course is your chance to transform time on the mountain into valuable skills, real-world experience, and even a future job.

In this hands-on course, you’ll sharpen your skiing ability while learning how to lead, teach, and inspire others. Along the way, you’ll grow your outdoor education knowledge, build leadership skills, and work toward a nationally recognized certification through the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA).

Bonus Perk: Enrollment in this course comes with a FREE Skeetawk season pass—so you can ski all winter long, even outside of class!

Best of all, once you complete the course, you’ll be eligible to work as a ski instructor at Skeetawk, turning your love for skiing into a paid opportunity.

What’s Included (30 Hours):

  • 3 hours of PSIA e-learning
  • 12 hours of on-hill movement analysis training
  • 6 hours of shadowing professional instructors during real lessons
  • 9 hours of on-hill skill development

Successful completion may earn you CTE and/or PE credit—all while doing what you love.

The age requirement for this course is 16+.

Rental Information:

  • Day rentals are $40. 
  • Season rentals are $150/season for youth (under 17) and $200/season for adults.
