Families of Mat-Su Central,
We hope this finds you well and excited about the Thanksgiving holiday. A friendly reminder that our building will be closed November 27-28. As always, check out our full calendar and website for the most up to date information.
On-Site Hybrid Learning Academy
- Many first-semester classes are beginning to wrap up, but please remember that individual courses may have different meeting schedules. Confirm any end-of-semester timelines directly with your teacher.
- Sign-ups for Semester 2 classes are open! To view classes still available, including two new coding classes for upper elementary students and an Adulting 101 class for high schoolers, visit our Offerings page. If you have questions about a specific class, please contact your teacher or advisor directly.
S1 Grades Due on December 18:
- In the MCS model, home educators submit grades to their advisor for certified approval. While advisors support families through regular meetings, check-ins, and progress monitoring, the formal submission of grades provides an additional layer of accountability to ensure student success.
- If your student has already completed a course, you may submit the final grade in the Parent Portal at any time. You will be able to enter the grade, upload a work sample, and provide the required narrative. Work with your advisor to determine a plan that best supports your family.
MCS Graduation Date May 22
- Seniors, keep an eye out for detailed graduation information in January. Now is a great time to begin planning with your advisor and family.
From the Accounting Department
- To receive a reimbursement by Christmas, all submissions must be completed by November 30.
- All receipts dated July 1–December 31 must be submitted by January 25, 2026.
- Visit our Allotment FAQ for answers to common questions.
