We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in your student’s education. One way we can ensure we are doing all we can to effectively support you is to share feedback on student academic proficiency. While standardized assessments are far from a fool-proof summary of your child’s abilities, they are a helpful data point for meaningful discussion between you and your advisor.
AK STAR stands for the Alaska System of Academic Readiness, and the test assesses students in grades 3-9 in English language arts and math. Additionally, there is a science test for 5, 8, and 10 grade students. Testing will take place between April 10-April 21.
